What we do

Every stage,
under one roof.

Whether you have a finished file or just a problem to solve, we can help — from the first sketch to the finished part on your workbench.

3D design from scratch
Quoted per project
Got a concept, sketch, or problem but no file? We'll translate it into a precise, print-ready 3D model — engineered for the material and application, not just the look.
Design alterations
Quoted per project
Have an existing file that needs modifying, fixing, or optimising for print? We work with STL, STEP, OBJ, Fusion 360, and SolidWorks formats.
Print only
Quoted per project
File ready to go? We handle material selection, print settings, post-processing, and finishing. One part or a small batch — treated with the same care either way.
Design + print
Quoted per project
The complete service. We take your idea and deliver a finished, tested part. One point of contact, one quote, one less thing to manage.
Site visits
Quoted per project
Sometimes the best place to understand a problem is on the factory floor. We come to you for measurement, reverse engineering, integration checks, or just to talk through what you need.
Ongoing & batch work
Flexible rates available
Regular production runs or repeat orders? We offer preferential rates for ongoing clients, flexible invoicing, and 30-day payment terms for approved trade accounts.

About FormStrata Ltd

Built on precision.
Run on trust.

FormStrata Ltd is a specialist 3D design and print service based in the North West, working with businesses across the automation and industrial sectors. We focus on one-off and small batch production — the jobs that don't fit neatly into the big online platforms.

Every project is handled personally. There's no outsourcing, no automated pipeline, and no off-the-shelf quoting. When you work with FormStrata Ltd, you deal directly with the engineer doing the work — which means faster answers, fewer misunderstandings, and parts that actually fit.

We work across a range of industrial materials and technologies, and we're always happy to advise on the right approach — even if that means pointing you in a different direction.

What clients say

Real feedback, real jobs.

"

The bracket was designed, printed, and installed within a week of Keith visiting site. Zero sensor replacements since — we'd been replacing that sensor every few months for years. Should have done this sooner.

Engineering Manager

Large distribution centre, North West England

"

We needed a replacement encoder bracket that wasn't available anywhere. Keith reverse engineered it from the original, had a part back to us in days, and the encoder went straight back into service. Saved us the cost of a full assembly replacement.

Maintenance Team Leader

Automated storage facility, UK

"

Fitted brush holders to over 100 shuttles across the site. Maintenance time for track cleaning is down 30% and we're seeing significantly less unplanned downtime. Simple idea, properly engineered, and it works.

3D printed industrial parts,
North West England

FormStrata Ltd is a specialist 3D design and precision print service based in the North West of England, working exclusively with the automation, warehousing, and intralogistics sector. We produce one-off and small batch FDM printed components for clients including system integrators, maintenance teams, and operations managers across the UK.

Common applications include replacement and legacy parts for Vanderlande, Dematic, Knapp, and similar conveyor and storage systems, custom sensor brackets and mounting solutions, protective guards for conveyor-mounted equipment, and jigs and fixtures for assembly and maintenance operations.

We print in 11 engineering-grade materials including PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon PA6-CF, and PPS-CF — selected for the specific mechanical, thermal, and chemical requirements of each application.

Fast turnaround. No minimum order.
Site visits available.

Unlike large online 3D printing platforms, FormStrata works directly with clients to understand the application before recommending a material or design approach. We offer site visits across the North West and beyond — taking measurements directly from your equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy on the first print.

Our quality management system is aligned with ISO 9001:2015 principles. Every part is inspected prior to dispatch and accompanied by a component inspection certificate on request. Material batch traceability is maintained on every job.

Whether you need a single replacement bracket or a batch of production parts, quotes are returned within one business day — typically the same day for straightforward applications.
